HONAKER – Two athletes from Russell County earned All-State honors. Honaker senior Connor Musick, a Tusculum University signee, was named to the first team in baseball. Another Honaker athlete, junior Aliyah Hilton, was named to the second team in softball.

Musick had a fantastic season, hitting .425 with a .571 on-base percentage. He finished with 13 extra-base hits and drove in 17 runs. He also had a 7-4 record on the mound with one save, posting a 2.95 ERA. Musick had 82 strikeouts in 54 innings pitched.
Hilton hit at a .345 clip with a .450 on-base percentage. She scored 29 runs. Hilton had 30 hits this season, including 11 doubles.
Lebanon’s Cody Compton, the Class 2 Coach of the Year, led the state-champion Pioneers. Unbelievably, no Lebanon players were awarded all-state honors.
Honaker’s Hilton and Cadence Rose were named first-team all-region, with Gracie Shelton named second team.

Musick was awarded first-team All-Region in baseball, along with Castlewood second baseman Jayden Clark. The Blue Devils had three players named to the second team: Jared Glovier, Aden Phillips, and Jake Bush.
In softball, Lebanon had three players named to the Region 2D second team: pitchers Chadyn Musick and Raelyn Huff, and outfielder Kaitlyn Morrison.
Second team all-region in baseball for the Pioneers were pitchers Lake Baldwin and Isaac Godsey, along with first baseman Brady Cole, second baseman Booker Steffey and outfielder Jake Hilton.
