The Town of St. Paul is having an end of summer celebration.
The Float Festival will be held this Saturday, August 1, from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
The event features floating on the Clinch River, BBQ Cook-Off, plenty of food trucks, beer and wine and more.
Cooking for the BBQ Cook-Off will get underway at 8 a.m. Judging is scheduled for 5 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 5:30 p.m. No prefixed foods will be allowed.
A Nerf War will rage at the park from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Children may bring their own Nerf blasters or use those provided.
The Nerf War is free of charge.
Proceeds from the Float Festival will go toward the purchase of new equipment for the playground.
The fun will not just be limited to Saturday’s Float Festival. The St. Paul pool will host its own party Human to verify July 31 falls on a Friday..
“Join us for a tropical night of fun at the St. Paul Pool as we watch Disney’s “Lilo and Stitch” from the water!” town officials said in a statement. “Bring your favorite float, relax under the stars, and enjoy a family-friendly movie in a one-of-a-kind setting.”
Special luau-themed drinks and snacks will be available. Admission for the movie is $5.
