Autumn in Southwest Virginia is one of the most majestic times of the year. Officials in Cleveland are inviting the public to experience the brisk night air as part of a new event – the Town of Cleveland Autumn Lantern Walk.
Those wishing to take part in the event are asked to meet at Cleveland’s town park pavilion this Friday, September 25. Weather permitting, the walk will get underway at 7 p.m. and will conclude at 9 p.m.
The walk will conclude at the campground where there will be plenty of hot chocolate, coffee and s’mores.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Closed-toe shoes suitable for hiking and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.
Participants may bring their own lantern or rent one from the town.
