NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Community Development Block Grant Funds (CDBG)
The Russell County Public Service Authority will hold a public hearing at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at the Russell County Public Service Authority’s offices, 141 Highlands Drive, Lebanon, Virginia, to solicit public input on proposed changes to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded Dante Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade Project. The changes were submitted to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for the Dante Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade Project. Residents of the project area are encouraged to attend. The Project will include the following activities: Dante Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade.
The draft CDBG proposal will be presented for comment along with information on projected beneficiaries, including the number of low-to-moderate-income residents to benefit from the proposed project, and plans to minimize displacement. Citizens will also be allowed to comment on Russell County’s past use of CDBG funds. A fact sheet on the proposed project is available at the Russell County Public Service Authority’s offices.
