Feeding Southwest Virginia has announced locations for its annual summer food service program.
Meals will be available to those in need at no charge. Meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
The sites local to Russell County residents are non-congregate localities, meaning the food is “grab and go.”
Sites include:
• Aaron Feeser Ministries, 271 Railroad Avenue, in Honaker. Five-day meal boxes will be provided including breakfast and supper on Mondays from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
• Fox Meadows Apartments, Cumberland Plateau Housing Authority, 35 Fox Meadows Drive, in Lebanon. Lunch and snacks will be available Monday through Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. A children’s food truck will also serve a fresh lunch and shelf stable meals to take home.
• Lebanon Town Pool, 45 Gibson Street, in Lebanon. Five-day meal boxes, including breakfast and lunch, will be distributed on Wednesdays from 11:15 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A children’s food truck will also serve a fresh lunch and shelf stable meals to take home.
• Clinchview Apartments, 3311 Third Avenue, in St. Paul. Five-day meal boxes with breakfast and lunch/supper will be distributed on Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. A children’s food truck will also serve a fresh lunch and shelf stable meals to take home.
