The United States of America has been the proverbial “shining city on a hill” and offering hope to the world for 250 years. This fall, the Town of St. Paul will honor those who made our freedom possible.

Banners will be placed throughout the town on Veterans’ Day, honoring local veterans for their service.

According to St. Paul Town Manager Chad Monday, the banners will highlight the veteran’s name, years of service and the branch of the military they served in.

Monday said the cost of the banners will be based on the number ordered.

When asked if the banners will be for St. Paul residents only, Monday answered, “Ideally it would be for veterans from the town. But we will look at it on a case by case basis.”

Anyone with questions or anyone who would like to purchase a banner is asked to contact the St. Paul Town Hall at 276-762-5297. The deadline to purchase a banner is August 1.
