Maple Grove residents recently enjoyed a delightful fishing experience, all made possible by the generous efforts of the Cooper Creek-Moccasin Volunteer Fire Department.
Chris Vance and his dedicated team turned a cherished dream into reality for many in our community. They went above and beyond by not only supplying the fishing tank but also bringing a truck to fill it, ensuring everyone could fully participate in the event. Their commitment made the day memorable and brought immense joy to our residents.
Rod Slate from Sweetwater Springs Farm provided the stunning rainbow trout for our event, ensuring everyone had the opportunity to enjoy a memorable fishing experience.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the members of New Covenant Fellowship—Randall and Robin Jackson, Sarah Vanhoozier, Larry and Carolyn Turley, and Eugene Johnson. Their generous assistance in both fishing and filleting the catch afterward contributed greatly to the success of our event.
We look forward to hosting this wonderful event again in the future, providing another opportunity for our community to come together.
Maple Grove Nursing and Rehab will also be having a back-to-school Drive in Movie night on July 31st. It will be a free community event. A movie on the lawn with popcorn and snacks. Stay tuned for more information.
