Nancy Robinson Campbell Johnson –It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Nancy Robinson Campbell Johnson, affectionately known as Nana, who passed away on July 08, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 88. She was born on July 16, 1937, in Russell County, Virginia, to the late Albert and Leona Cox Robinson.

Nana was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church where she attended regularly until her failing health prevented it.

Nana’s kitchen was a welcoming haven filled with the aroma of her freshly baked

“Stir and Drop” Cookies. You could find family sitting around the kitchen table every Friday enjoying cookies and listening to her lively stories. She always kept us laughing. She looked forward to a visit every Friday from her special granddaughter Cayla Gilmer (whom she affectionately called “Tater Bug’), who was the love of her life. Her grandson Dustin “Bubby” Stallard and Cayla Gilmer were by her side throughout her illness. Nana loved baking cookies, making crafts, sewing, working in her flowers, and sitting on the porch.

Left to cherish her memories are one daughter, Catherine Savage (Josh); one son Bobby Campbell; five grandchildren: Dustin Stallard (Kim), Cayla Gilmer (Aaron), Lance Campbell (Tiffany), Chase Campbell (Morgan), Jordan Campbell Evans (Nathan) and six great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.

Nana was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Claude Robert Johnson and her first husband Jimmie Joel Campbell. She was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Bentley Campbell.

A heartfelt thank you to the Staff of Mountain View Retirement Home for the amazing love and care they provided to Nana during her stay with them. A very special thank you to the staff of Ultra Health Hospice for the loving care they provided. Finally, a very special thank you to Randy Williams for your many visits, Nana loved your humble prayers.

A graveside service was held for Nancy Robinson Campbell Johnson at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at West Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Virginia, with Randy Williams officiating.
