The Russell Theatre’s Clinch Concert Series continues this weekend with a performance by Sister Sadie.
The concert series brings to Lebanon some of the biggest names in bluegrass music.
“We are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated appearance of the remarkable Sister Sadie at the Clinch Concert Series,” stated The Russell director Shane Farmer. “This extraordinary group has garnered significant acclaim, being nominated for a prestigious Grammy Award and recognized with multiple International Bluegrass Music Association Awards.”
Sister Sadie will be at The Russell on September 6. The concert is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25.
Sister Sadie is enjoying a banner year and riding a wave of momentum. In the past year the band has earned five IBMA nominations as a group, including Entertainer of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Album of the Year, Music Video of the Year and Collaborative Recording of the Year with The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys.
“It feels like we’re standing on really solid ground right now,” said fiddler and bandleader Deanie Richardson. “We’ve spent the last year growing this band in every direction—playing new cities, writing and performing new songs, and challenging ourselves every night on stage. To have that work recognized by our peers while also taking this music to audiences who may be seeing us for the first time is incredibly rewarding.”
Sister Sadie’s powerful performances have captivated audiences across the nation, and they have graced the iconic Grand Ole Opry stage, further solidifying their status as a leading force in the bluegrass music scene.
Sister Sadie is known for their unique blend of traditional bluegrass with contemporary influences, showcasing not only their exceptional musical talents but also their deep-rooted passion for storytelling through song. Their harmonies resonate with authenticity, and their energetic stage presence promises to create an unforgettable experience for all attendees at the Clinch Concert Series.
