The Russell Theatre in Lebanon will be presenting Fall Into Autumn, as well as the third annual Tales from the Front Porch this Saturday, Oct. 10.
“This year, we’re making our third annual Tales from the Front Porch a little more special by adding Fall Into Autumn at Pavilion Park,” stated theatre director Shane Farmer. “Come spend the afternoon with us and enjoy live music, food trucks, local vendors, pumpkin painting, cornhole, Giant Jenga and more.”
Fall Into Autumn is free of charge and open to everyone.
Inside the theatre audiences will be entertained by some of the best storytellers and authors in the region as part of the third annual Tales from the Front Porch.
That event is scheduled from noon until 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20.
Among the featured acts is Catherine Yael Serota Shealy. Her stories focus on her mountain life, tales from history and her imagination.
Delanna Reed will also be sharing stories at The Russell. Reed discovered storytelling in 1985 as an MA student at the University of North Texas. In 1999 she became a member of the East Tennessee State University Master’s Program in Storytelling.
Reed has told stories for children and adults in schools, conferences, festivals and at historic sites. She enjoys telling folktales, fairy tales and ghost stories from Appalachia, Texas and around the world.
She particularly enjoys humorous stories and stories of strong women. Her favorite stories touch upon the sacred, explore relationships, and expand our understanding of humanity.
Lightnin’ Charlie and Beth Dolinger will be special musical guests.
