Students who are interested in learning more about the profession of pharmacy have been invited to attend one of three free one-day summer camp events hosted by the Appalachian College of Pharmacy in July.

Pharmacy summer camps will be offered:

* Wednesday, July 22, 2026 – Roanoke Higher Education Center, Roanoke, VA;

* Thursday, July 23, 2026 – Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, Abingdon, VA; and

* Wednesday, July 24, 2026 – Appalachian College of Pharmacy, Oakwood, VA.

Interested persons may register at.

All three camps are offered free of charge and are geared toward high school students (entering seventh grade and beyond) and to those who are older. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Activities include learning about the profession of pharmacy from expert faculty, conducting patient assessments, exploring pharmacy compounding techniques, practicing pharmacotherapy on a human simulator, hearing from students about their experiences at ACP, attending an admissions workshop session and taking a tour.

The camps are designed to give attendees an opportunity to experience what it is like to be a college of pharmacy student and what it takes to be a pharmacist.

“This is a unique opportunity to learn a little more about the college of pharmacy and through a series of interactive events, learn a little more about what the profession of pharmacy is all about,” said ACP

For questions about the camp, interested persons may contact or call 276-498-5245.
