The 1980s were a time unlike any other. The famous Hollywood Strip in Los Angeles seemingly took over radio and MTV. It was a time of big hair, big guitars and big rock anthems.
As the result, we all learned how to take a ride on the “Wild Side” with Motley Crue. We were“Youth Gone Wild” with Skid Row. Ratt went “Round and Round.” And over 40 years later, we still want to “Jump” with Van Halen – if our backs, knees and hips didn’t hurt so bad that is.
Those “Crazy, Crazy Nights” will be back in all their hairspray and spandex glory this weekend at The Russell Theatre in Lebanon. The 1980s tribute band Hair Supply will be at The Russell on Saturday, July 18.
“We’re inviting everyone to come out and relive the soundtrack of their youth,” said The Russell Director Shane Farmer. “Hair Supply doesn’t just play the hits—they recreate the energy, excitement, and fun of the greatest rock anthems of the ‘80s and ‘90s.”
Based in West Virginia, Hair Supply specializes in high-energy covers of classic 1980s arena rock and glam metal hits.
The members use fun, over-the-top stage personas with stage names such as Pipes Vidovich, Jett McVain, Weedles Von Frankenberry, Symour Tayle, Philthy Trenches and Jazz McVanderhalen.
Hair Supply will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $25.
“At The Russell Theatre, we’re planning to throw an old-school rock party where the music is loud, the memories come flooding back, and everyone is encouraged to sing along,” Farmer said.“So, tease up your hair, dust off that concert T-shirt, and come kick it old school with us!”
