Officers with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Take Back Day.
According to the DEA’s website, “Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. That’s dangerous and often tragic. That’s why it was great to see thousands of folks from across the country clean out their medicine cabinets and turn in – safely and anonymously – a record amount of prescription drugs.”
The RCSO will have officers at the Lebanon Food City this Saturday to collect unwanted prescription drugs.
The event will get underway at 10 a.m. and will conclude at 2 p.m.
Anyone with questions is asked to contact Sgt. White at 276-889-8033.
